Taffel dining table - Burgundy - 90x150/210 cm

“Taffel” was originally the word for fine dining in noble circles. Today, “Taffel” refers to the gathering place in the home: the dining table. Taffel combines sturdiness and edgy, raw industrial design, but equally appears to be almost floating with its clean, light lines. With a width of 90 cm, Taffel is slightly narrower than many other dining tables, making it ideally suited to the contemporary home. Here it can serve multiple practical and space-efficient purposes, doubling as both a desk and dining table, for example. Taffel also features integrated extension leaves, which pull out easily when more space is needed.

The table has a contemporary, youthful look and is made of sturdy and durable materials. The plywood table top is covered with linoleum, an organic natural material that is both aesthetically appealing and practical. The frame is made of powder-coated, cold-formed steel. The designer behind Taffel, Thomas Pedersen, explains: “We designed Taffel as a versatile dining table, especially suitable for small apartments, where the dining table is the centre of the home, and at price to suit most budgets. The table is designed to be used, so the materials were chosen for their durability.
