Herbert Hirche
Herbert Hirche studied from 1930 to 1933 at the Bauhaus in Dessau and Berlin. His teachers included painter Wassily Kandinsky and architect Ludwig Mies van der Rohe. During his career he worked for different architects, Egon Eiermann among others.
Herbert Hirche was active as an architect, designer and exhibition designer. He had great influence on the development of product and interior design in Germany after the Second World War, where he used the ideas and style of Bauhaus teaching. He designed furniture, sophisticated industrial products, and radio and television sets for Braun and was present at national and international fairs and exhibitions.
